As part of the agreement between New York State and New York City to upgrade the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant, $10 million in environmental benefits will be returned to the communities that surround Newtown Creek. Since 2011, the funding to the Newtown Creek communities has been administered by two organizations: City Parks Foundation, and the Hudson River Foundation.
-Come learn what benefits were achieved and the timeline for the delivery of future priority list projects.
-Come find out about how each organizations’ current fiscal allocations affects funding on the secondary list.
-Come provide input on ranking the secondary list of neighborhood projects.
